St Paul's at Pupils Inter-Area XC Match

Only fifteen children from each age/gender category (eg Upper School Girls, Lower School Boys etc) were selected to represent the Mendip Team in the Inter-Area XC Match on Tuesday 27th March at Montecute near Yeovil. Five of those sixty children were selected from St Paul's, one Upper School boy - Curtis Stevens, one Lower School boy - Morgan Withers and three of the fifteen Upper School Girl's Team were chosen from St Paul's - Vera Assis, Naomi Marable and Abby Gibbons.

Four area teams took part - Yeovil, West Somerset, Langport and Mendip with an average of 45 competitors in each race. These children were all selected from the top positions of their various area leagues and so it was a race of the best!

The standard of St Paul's competitors was very high and yet again they did extremely well.
The results saw Curtis Stevens in 5th place, Vera Assis again in 2nd place, Naomi Marable in 10th, Abigail Gibbons in 12th and Morgan Withers in 4th.

To their delight this Inter-Area XC Match brought more awards with the Mendip Team winning in all but the Lower School Boy's races.
